East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre is a registered Charity aiming to improve the quality of life for Deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing people across East Sussex. We provide a range of services including: information & advice, hearing aid maintenance, support groups, lipreading classes, sign language classes and drop-in equipment demonstation sessions.
We are currently seeking a Treasurer Trustee to join our existing Board of Trustees at a particularly exciting and significant period in our growth and development.
The primary focus of the Treasurer would be to assist and support the Board in monitoring the financial administration of the charity. In addition, alongside the other Trustees, they would offer direction and strategy to the organisation, ensure legal obligations are met, adequate funding is sourced, and services are delivered to the highest standard.
Trustee meetings are held every 6-8 weeks in Eastbourne, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, and to which you would be expected to attend regularly.
This is an unpaid, voluntary position; however, 'out of pocket' expenses can be reimbursed as required.
If you would like to discuss the role further before sending an application, please call CEO David Rowan on 01323 722505. Applications should include a CV and covering letter.
All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
