Job Description

As a result of the growth, we are looking to recruit a suitably experienced, motivated, self-starter as a Volunteer Administrator to support the Trustees with the day to day running and organisation of the charity. The main task anticipated for the role includes:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for email and telephone enquires
  • Managing and maintaining the charities records and computer systems
  • Providing administrative support to Trustees and Consultants
  • Organising, attending and minuting volunteer meetings or events 

Even if you have not considered being a volunteer administrator before now, we still want to hear from you, if you have the passion and skills to help the Trust. We provide support to anyone joining who is new to this type of role.

We are keen to welcome applications from groups who are currently underrepresented on the Board, in particular:

  • People over the age of 45;
  • Disabled people; and
  • People from Black and Minority Ethnic communities

The Volunteers meets 4 times a year and Volunteers are encouraged to serve for at least 2 years. The overall time commitment is between 7 and 16 hours per week. The Trust is based in London but mainly works remotely, so most meetings are held via Zoom and Teams. So the role will suit someone who wants to support a charity from home.  Volunteers are not paid but reasonable out of pocket expenses are met. Volunteers are appointed by interview of a panel of Trustees and other Volunteers.
