Join us as a Trustee and help to change the lives of disabled children.
Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. Last year, we provided 88,407 grants or services worth over £33 million to families across the UK. We believe that all families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people should have the same opportunities as others. Beginning with the most vulnerable, those on low incomes, and considering all conditions against our disability criteria, we aim to make a difference to outcomes for disabled or seriously ill children and young people and the lives of the families raising them across the UK.
We are looking to appoint three exceptional individuals who will bring passion and commitment, as well as skills and experience to our Board. Trustees play an active role in governing the charity and are responsible for setting vision, strategic priorities, and for ensuring that the charity complies with legal, charitable and financial requirements.
We are looking for people with experience in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Human Resources, ICT, Marketing/Fundraising, Public Affairs.
We are keen to improve the diversity profile of our Board, so that it represents all parts of the UK and the people we support. We would particularly welcome applications from disabled people, individuals of Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds, as well as those who have personal experience of caring for a disabled or seriously ill child or young person.
