Job Description

We are looking to increase our current team of Trustees and Committee Members to support the continuous development of CABA. There is no requirement to hold an accountancy qualification or have any experience of accountancy or the finance industry.

We are at the forefront of the benevolence sector, offering innovative solutions in supporting our membership in all aspects of their wellbeing. Our desire is to further develop our support using a variety of channels, taking greater advantage of digital solutions. We have a forward-thinking staff team with considerable digital expertise.

In order to support and challenge the staff team we are, in particular, seeking applications from candidates who can offer experience in:

  • Digital and IT strategy
  • Brand, marketing and social media
  • Human Resources
  • Health and Wellbeing support

We would also welcome candidates who are currently working in one of these fields and may wish to consider the role as part of their wider career development.

In addition, due to upcoming vacancies, we are looking to recruit Trustees and Committee members specifically to serve on either our Audit and Risk Committee or our Investment Committee.

The positions are unremunerated; reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.  The minimum commitment for trustees is 6 meetings a year, with 10 desirable, which includes joining one of our committees.  The commitment for committee members is a minimum of 5 meetings including an away day. With the exception of Investment Committee, which meets in London, the majority of meetings are held at our offices in Rugby. Attending some meetings by video conference may be an option.

All successful applicants are subject to a satisfactory enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
