Role

Trustees

Award winning Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living are looking for new Trustees to join their Board.

The charity provides healthy eating initiatives and projects to improve local people’s awareness and knowledge of a healthy diet and nutrition to address the increased rise in obesity.

Additionally the charity aims to raise awareness of opportunities for community members to increase their activity levels and encourage individuals to incorporate more activity in their daily lives and routines.

The role

We are looking for individuals who can bring their experience and energy to our board, to help the organisation continue raising awareness and creating opportunities for healthy activities in benefit of our community.

Expertise and background in legal, finance and health & social care would be beneficial.  However, we are open to applications from individuals from all backgrounds and who feel they have something to contribute to the organisation.

As a Trustee, your expertise would assist the board and the Chief Officer in governance matters.

This is an opportunity to support an award winning local charity to continue to deliver its services around health and well-being and community development in one of the most deprived boroughs in the country.

Time commitment

Most meetings of the board of trustees last around 2 hours. You are required to attend around 6 meetings a year as well as the annual general meeting.

How to apply

Please apply via Reach Volunteering, including your CV and a supporting statement.
