Reach Volunteering are working with Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Services (NIDAS) to find new trustees to join their current Board. We are keen to hear from individuals who could add value to the Board with their skills and expertise.
You will get the opportunity to work with a small, dynamic and forward thinking organisation that is not afraid of change or a challenge! You will also enhance your own skill set, increase your confidence, meet new like-minded people and get that warm, fuzzy feeling from helping others. Through your contribution, you will make a direct impact by supporting a local-charity-for-local-people that has an excellent and well regarded reputation in the community for delivering quality and life changing services.
Established in 1989, NIDAS is a small, friendly and independent local charity working predominately across Mansfield and Ashfield in Nottinghamshire.
We offer a family-based approach to those aged 5 and above who are living with or have experienced any form of domestic violence or abuse.
We have a team of highly experienced, qualified, professional, specialist, caring and passionate workers who have supported 1,000s of families to live a life free from harm.
Our family-based service offers emotional support and practical advice to:
- Parents and carers of all genders
- Children and young people aged 5 to 25
- Families accessing the Civil and Family Court system
We focus on intervention and prevention at the earliest stage possible, building resilience and enabling families to live healthy, happy and safe lives.
We exist to support survivors of abuse, keep families safe and place children and young people at the heart of everything we do.
NIDAS are keen to hear from individuals with background and skills in the following areas:
- Marketing and communications
- Project Management
We would like to bring on board a finance trustee to support with accounting, finance and business development functions; a marketing trustee to help us promote our services on social media and improve our communications, a business trustee with experience of social enterprises or a commercial background to support our business development plans, a trustee with HR expertise to make recommendations on our human resources processes and a project management specialist to help us with setting up more efficient internal and external reporting processes.
We also would love to hear from individuals who would like to help NIDAS raise its profile by becoming ambassadors of our brand and help us spread awareness of our brand and services.
