Job Description

Along with working collaboratively with other Trustees as part of the management committee, the role of the Treasurer specifically involves:
Overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts and other financial statements.
Being assured that the financial resources of the Pre-school meet its present and future needs.
Ensuring that the charity has an appropriate reserves policy.
The preparation and presentation of the financial statements to the management committee.
Ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place.
Liaising with the Business Manager on a regular basis.
Ensuring that equipment and assets are adequately insured.
Ensure that the accounts are prepared in the form required by the relevant statutory bodies.
Ensure that the accounts are audited in accordance with the regulations and that any recommendations are acted on.

Make a formal presentation of the accounts at the Pre-School AGM.
Crich Pre-School is a small community based, voluntary committee run Pre-School. Our aim is to help provide the best start in life for the children of our area, by creating an outstanding pre-school at the heart of our community. We provide high quality care and education for children aged between two and five years. We believe in the value of childhood. Children need freedom and time to play because play underpins all learning and development for young children. Therefore, learning through play is at the heart of all that we do. We use the children’s interests to create a fun, attractive and welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported to explore the world around them. We understand the importance of the role of the adult in enhancing young children’s learning and have a highly experienced and dedicated staff.
