Job Description

Treasurer – Job description.

Below responsibilities and specification are in addition to general trustee responsibilities.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Maintain a clear record of all financial transactions.

  • Report income and expenditure to the rest of the board.

  • Coordinate trustee approval of budget.

  • Ensure annual accounts are submitted in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Ensure adequate, effective financial procedures are in place.

  • Arrange payment of volunteer/trustee expenses.

 

Person specification

 

Whilst the treasurer is not required to attend photo-shoots etc, they will still need ensure the above values are met. Ideally they will demonstrate or display knowledge of an adequate level of empathy, resilience and positivity. They are to be motivational, enthusiastic, supportive and caring.

 

Experience in finance and or book keeping is essential

A little about us.

 

Spotlight on Cancer Courage has recently been founded by Kara Lyons, who thanks to her own cancer experiences has great insight into some of the challenges that cancer and its treatment can cause. Our vision is to the improve mental well-being of cancer patients by celebrating their courage in the face of adversity.

 

We offer a range of “experiences” that aim to empower cancer patients and fight the effects that cancer and it’s treatment has mentally on those diagnosed. We do this by providing photo shoots and make overs which help to give happy positive memories associated with what can be a very traumatic time.
