Are Looking for
RASASC is a registered charity based in Croydon dedicated to providing services to female survivors of sexual violence. We run the Rape Crisis National Sexual Violence Helpline, offer face to face and group counselling, an Advocacy Service for survivors going through the Criminal Justice System, a large Prevention Training Programme, Outreach Services working with Domestic Violence and Women involved in Prostitution. We are firmly committed to ending violence against women & girls and raising awareness about the myths surrounding rape. Our service is a very busy women only service with around 60 staff, self-employed workers and volunteers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed woman to join our friendly team of voluntary trustees to provide financial oversight, working alongside our bookkeeper, and excellent governance, strategic leadership and act as ambassadors for the organisation. We welcome applicants from the BME community.
• An understanding of charity finance would be useful but is not essential
• A finance or accounting qualification and up to date knowledge of financial reporting
Requirements for charities
• Good knowledge of financial systems
• A commitment to the aims and principles of the Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre
The post of Trustee is a voluntary one but all reasonable expenses are reimbursed. We welcome applications from all sections of the community to enable us to have a diverse trustee board that reflects our clients and communities.
