London Music Masters
First and foremost trustees are ambassadors of the charity. They have a deep understanding of and commitment to our values of excellence and inclusion as expressed through our core programmes in schools, in teacher training, with young artists and in our role as advocates for diversity and inclusion in classical music and music education. Trustees play a crucial role in supporting the executive team on significant governance, strategic and financial matters. From time to time they will collaborate with executive teams on operational matters which connect to specific areas of a trustee’s expertise (development, marketing, education etc.).
Our Vision – A world where everyone can access the transformative power of music
We believe that music is of inherent cultural value and that it can have a lifelong impact on the social, educational and cultural development of children and communities. Therefore, we are working towards a world where everyone can access the transformative power of music.
We currently have vacancies for trustees with expertise in finance and education legal and people management, but we welcome any applicants with skills and expertise that could elevate our work and who are passionate about giving children and young people the chance to aim high through music.
Trustee - Treasurer
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent). Professional experience of charity accounts is a desirable but not essential requirement as the charity employs a finance director with a charity accounts specialism. The successful candidate will have legal/statutory framework knowledge of Charity Commission and Companies House. They will advise trustees regarding financial risk, and advise the Chair, Finance Director and Executive Director during financial audits.
