SLQ is seeking new Trustees to support its ambition for Every Young Person to Realise Their Potential.
Working with approximately 2,000 centres across the UK, SLQ create qualifications and awards that support young people to develop life-long, transferable skills based on our skill framework developed with Youth Employment UK.
In the last year we supported over 125,000 young people to participate in over 4 million hours of practically applied learning and peer-volunteering.
But we want to do more!
With an increasing focus on developing character education within education (circa 80% of SLQ centres) there has never been a more exciting time to join SLQ as we evolve to increase the amount of young people who benefit from our qualifications and awards, develop new and innovative partnerships and increase our digital presence.
We hope to add to the skills of existing Board members by recruiting interested individuals with relevant experience in the following areas:
- Digital Marketing and/or e-learning.
- Partnership development.
- Financial management.
- Supporting expansion, growth, and scalability.
To support the diversity of experience and opinions on our Board, we would welcome applicants with disabilities and/or identifying as BAME, LGBTQ+ and/or young aspiring individuals seeking their first appointment as a Trustee.
