We are now looking for additional general Trustees to bolster our team, and also potential Trustees with specific skills to offer Lister Steps, now that we have been given "Permission to Start" the Carnegie Library renovation as our new home, by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Our general Trustees should be motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering and supporting an organisation that provides the best for its children and wider community.

The specific skill sets that we are also looking for are in the fields of:

* Finance (to assist and oversee the Finance Manager on behalf of the Board) - applicants should ideally have a finance qualification e.g. AAT, CIMA etc.

* Event Management - to organise both publicity and fundraising events as we expand and move forward.

Each of these will help with the management of the current activities and the development and fulfilment of our future vision.

Lister Steps is a Charity in Tuebrook, Liverpool that offers a variety of affordable and flexible childcare solutions for children aged 0 to 14 years old. It provides a safe and fun environment where children are able to play, learn and socialise under the supervision of highly trained and experienced staff. Lister Steps aim to support parents and families whatever their situation and all our services are structured with the needs of parents in mind.

Following a successful application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, Lister Steps is entering an exciting period of development. This will enable relocation into the fabulous Grade II West Derby Carnegie Library following an extensive renovation project. Not only will Lister Steps be able to continue delivering high quality childcare from this iconic building but this development will enable us to extend the range of support we offer our community and create a hub of activities.

What will be on offer in this exciting new phase:

 Childcare- day nursery, preschool, playgroup. Breakfast club, after school club, holiday play scheme.

 Community café

 Credit union

 History room

 Apprenticeship scheme for heritage and traditional craft and construction skills

 Venue for local groups- youth groups, music, drama, arts.

 Community gardens

Please contact me directly on clive764@googlemail.com if you are interested in joining us in this exciting and fulfilling journey.
