Job Description

Do you support our vision to improve the health, safety, well-being and environment in workplaces worldwide?

NEBOSH is a global organisation specialising in courses and qualifications in health, safety, well-being and environmental management. Through a network of around 600 Learning Partners in over 132 countries, more than half a million people have studied for a NEBOSH qualification.  Our qualifications are highly regarded by governments, employers, regulators and our learners.

A registered charity, NEBOSH has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. We have embarked on a new strategy to grow our business, and want to increase our international presence, build even more effective partnerships, and ensure that our qualifications remain relevant in a changing environment. This is an exciting and challenging time as we undertake change and transformation to achieve our strategic goals.

We are now looking for trustees to join our board with commercial experience, particularly in international business. We also need a qualified strategic finance professional with audit and risk management experience to be Chair of our Group Audit and Risk Committee.  Applicants do not need to be health and safety professionals, but we are seeking board members with a strong understanding of good governance who will be able to provide constructive challenge and support to our executive team.

We are looking for trustees who can commit to at least 12 days per year, including 6 board meetings and strategy away days. The Chair of the Group Audit and Risk Committee will also have an additional 4 committee meetings annually.

NEBOSH is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and Trustees. We celebrate diversity and applications are actively encouraged from individuals from diverse backgrounds.
