Active Prospects is an ambitious national award winning care provider in the South East who supports people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, acquired brain injury and those with complex needs and behaviours of concern, to live full and aspirational lives.
Active Prospects is particularly looking for Board Members with experience of HR, Change Management or Property Development.
As a Board Member, you will ensure that we uphold our charitable purpose and objectives; work in line with our vision, aims and organisational objectives and provide overall policy and direction.
Our Board Members help set our priorities, and support and hold to account our paid members of staff to deliver our plans. Together, we ensure our mission remains focused and we strive towards our vision.

What are we looking for?
Board Members should have different skills, backgrounds and experience that together give a rounded Board.
Different experiences and perspectives are important and a Board Member that also reflects the people and communities they service will help improve effectiveness. An effective Board Member will need a range of knowledge, attributes and personal experience to enable them to work towards the aims and objectives of the voluntary organisation.
The range and diversity of a Board will come from people with different perspectives including business skills, service user, family or social experience, general interests or commitment to the goals of the organisation. Active Prospects is particularly looking for Board Members with experience of HR, Change Management or Property Development.
Reasonable travel expenses are payable, and the time commitment is up to eight 2-hour evening meetings a year, plus an annual strategy away day normally held in November. Board meetings are held at our head office in Reigate.
