Alder Hey Children’s Charity is seeking new members of its Board of Trustees.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity is an independent Charity whose purpose is to support the young patients, families and staff at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and its vision to become a world leading centre for children’s healthcare and research.
We are currently seeking to extend our board and are looking for people who are strongly committed, with the credibility and passion to make a difference to Alder Hey. Members of the Trustee Board are not paid, but travel and other expenses can be reimbursed.
In light of the organisation’s strategy and operations, we are particularly looking for people with experience of accountancy; fundraising and governance. Some knowledge of strategic planning and business expansion would also be desirable.
Joining the Board of Alder Hey Children’s Charity is a senior non-executive appointment. Prospective members of the Board of Trustees should be able to demonstrate that they:
Have professional expertise in a discipline relevant to Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Are motivated to contribute to Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s work
Understand corporate governance and the role of boards and of charity trustees
Have experience of contributing to the strategic direction of organisations
Are willing to provide support to the work of Alder Hey Children’s Charity and are able to commit time to fulfil their Board responsibilities
Appreciate that this is a voluntary, unpaid position
