Could you make a difference as a Trustee at Compton Care?


Do you have experience of being a member of a Committee or Board with knowledge and understand of governance frameworks and strategic planning?   Are you a Qualified Accountant? 

If you have these skills, Compton Care is looking for someone like you to join our Board of Trustees. The Board has overall responsibility for the Charity’s work, focusing on Strategy, agreeing plans and budgets and supporting the CEO & our Leadership Team to make sure our Organisation continues to thrive.   You will support our role in working to re-define excellence in palliative care.

Compton Care provides accessible, innovative, influential care that creates extraordinary experiences for people in our community. We are therefore seeking applications from individuals who have ‘life experience’ are who would be committed to support Compton Care in making a difference to our communities. 

Our Board Trustees roles are voluntary and therefore unpaid, although we support reasonable expenses.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes: 

  • A strong personal commitment to the success of Compton Care
  • An ability to determine the overall direction and development of Compton Care through strategic planning and good governance. 
  • Accountancy background
  • A positive and enthusiastic individual with the ability to think creatively
  • A confident individual with effective communication and influencing skills
  • Act as an enthusiastic ambassador for Compton Care at external events
  • Alignment of Compton Care to embrace all legal and regulatory requirements in line with the Charity Commission and or governing bodies.
