Caring for Communities and People
COUNTY COMMUNITY PROJECTS (CCP), a charity based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is seeking a qualified accountant as Trustee and Treasurer and Director and Secretary of the company limited by guarantee under which it is constituted.
The majority of the charity's income arises from the performance of statutory caring duties which local authorities are obliged to provide. These are principally in the areas of parenting and family support, supported accommodation, independent living and homelessness prevention. An important non-statutory activity is the relief of food poverty. Trustees, staff and volunteers are enthusiastically committed to working for improvement in people's lives.
The role will involve the maintenance and oversight of the functioning of the charity, with particular responsibility for financial matters, in conjunction with a Board chairman and some five other trustees to support the employed Chief Executive, Financial Director and Senior Management Team.
The Board meets formally approximately six times each year, with additional informal consultations to advise on such items as forward planning, forecasts and salary reviews.
Applications should be sent by 9th April 2020 to the email address below, giving brief details of qualifications and experience. Further details may be obtained from Andrew Piggott (email@example.com) and from the charity's website (www.ccp.org.uk).
