The Energy Institute is seeking a Charity Trustee to take up office as Honorary Treasurer and therefore a Board member and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. The appointment is with effect from the Annual General Meeting in July 2020. The appointment term is 3 years, renewable once to serve a maximum of 6 years. The Board meets 4 times a year and once for a dinner and strategy day. The Finance and Audit Committee also meets 4 times a year. Meetings are usually held at the EI in central London.
The Board welcomes applications from qualified Chartered Accountants who have experience of working within or with energy companies. We wish to maintain the balance of diversity on the Board and improve it at committee level. Experience as a trustee is desirable but not necessary as training is provided. The EI’s ambition is to ensure that energy’s critical role in the world is better understood, managed and valued for the public good. EI is a global organisation which focuses on workforce development, HSE good practice and improving the quality of the public debate.
Applications for the post should include a cover note explaining your interest in the role and a CV. These should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before Friday 21st February 2020. Interviews will take place on February 26th at the EI’s offices in central London and can be undertaken via skype if required.
