Established in 2011, Anthem Schools Trust (formerly CfBT Schools Trust) is a multi-academy trust consisting of 16 state-funded primary and secondary schools. Our schools are organised into two regional clusters - East Midlands and the Thames Valley. Anthem Schools Trust has a turnover of £51 million, educates 8,700 students and has 870 FTE staff.

We are looking for an individual to join the Trust’s Board as an independent volunteer Trustee. Qualifications for this role are:
- A keen interest in educating children and young people
- Business qualifications and/or experience in finance and auditing
- Experience, at a senior management level of a national or international business
- Though not essential, experience of corporate or charity governance.
The initial term is three years, renewable for an additional three-year term. An induction programme is part of each Trustee’s preparation.
The Board meets six times a year, with one meeting at the Trust’s head office in Reading and the remaining meetings at the Trust’s schools. The Board has four Committees – Education, Finance, Audit and Remuneration. The selected Trustee would sit on either the Audit or Finance committee and one other committee, depending on interest and available time commitment.
