Citizens Advice Plymouth
Citizens Advice Plymouth seeks a new Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees
Citizens Advice Plymouth plays a vital role in our local community providing free, independent and impartial advice to clients on issues such as debt, benefits, housing and employment. Our Trustees are volunteers and ensure that the charity is well managed and that resources are utilised effectively and appropriately.
We are seeking someone who can offer the skills relevant to financial oversight of a medium sized charity (with an annual budget of circa. £2 million). We require a treasurer who can demonstrate commitment and integrity in advising the board on the financial health of the organisation. Responsibilities include presentation of the management accounts at board meetings, and advising on the corrective action that may be required when difficulties arise. (The treasurer is not a book keeper or accountant but must have a good understanding of financial control and collective board responsibility). In particular we are looking for someone with chartered accountant qualifications (but does not have to be practicing now).

We welcome applications from all sections of the community from a range of different backgrounds and cultures and also those who may have used our services. Training and support will be provided.
