We are currently seeking to recruit a Treasurer Trustee
Women’s Aid in Luton is the sole provider of refuge accommodation in Luton for women and children fleeing domestic violence and abuse. We are also the lead Partner in a project to deliver refuge and community based services to women with complex support needs, such as poor mental health and drug and alcohol dependencies; these issues can often be as a direct result of trauma brought on by the experience of domestic violence and abuse.
We are entering a period of growth from our new premises in the centre of Luton and to help us with our plans, we are looking to strengthen our existing Board of Trustees and are looking to recruit a Treasurer
At the heart of our service is the desire to provide safe, secure and confidential accommodation for women and their children and give them the practical and emotional support that they need to start afresh. Our dedicated team of 18 specialist staff who support women accessing our services and act as an advocate for them as they empower themselves to build a new life for themselves and their family.
We are looking to strengthen our existing board of Trustees by appointing an experienced person with a financial background to join as a Treasurer/
