A New Direction
A New Direction is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board
We are an award-winning London-based non-profit generating opportunities for children and young people to unlock their creativity. We work with partners across education, culture and the creative industries, local government and business, to support children and young people to be creative and experience culture, while identifying areas of inequality and campaigning for policy change
We are inviting applications from people with financial skills, ideally a qualified Accountant with an understanding of finance, governance and a commitment to the mission and vision of A New Direction.
2020 was a tumultuous year for all of us. The Covid-19 pandemic continues to challenge the education and culture sectors and has significantly reduced the opportunities for children and young people, particularly from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, to experience creativity and culture in London. The future of young people’s access to arts, culture and creativity will not be easy and the value of A New Direction as a champion for an arts rich and high quality cultural and creative education has never been more relevant.
Candidates should be passionate about our commitment to be the most inclusive organisation we can be. A New Direction is committed to ensuring that its work at all levels reflects the diversity of London. We are keen to have board members that both reflect the diversity of the city in addition to possessing the relevant skills to be a successful in role.
We are keen to welcome applications from groups who are currently under-represented on the Board, in particular people from Black Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
