Ashford Place is an established charity based in North West London with a demonstrable track record of bringing about sustained transformation in the lives our clients. We provide a range innovative services in the fields of homelessness, mental health and social isolation within the London Borough of Brent. The charity has an annual income of c £900k and employs 24 staff as well as a number of volunteers. Role Description

We are seeking to recruit a trustee to fulfill the role of Treasurer on our Board. We are looking for a qualified accountant who has experience of working with senior management teams, boards and auditors, ideally within the charitable sector. The Treasurer will be expected to attend board meetings (4 per annum) as well as be a member of the Finance and Resources sub committee which also meets quarterly. In addition to providing financial oversight and scrutiny of the charities financial and accounting matters and advising the Board the Treasurer will also be expected to work with the Finance and Operations Director to advise on best practice regarding financial and accounting management practices and systems, internal controls, reporting and risk management.
