Exciting Opportunity: Treasurer position in 2019
Brentry and Henbury Children’s Centre is a registered company and charity dedicated to providing services to families with under 5 year old children. The focus of our work includes the provision of high quality Early Education and Childcare and also the provision of a wide range of Family Support services. We run services across 3 Children’s Centres in North Bristol as well as delivering services in Prisons, running a holiday playscheme and a project for young parents. Much of our work is focussed on families suffering the effects of deprivation or specific vulnerabilities.
Our current Treasurer has held the role for over 10 years and is looking to stand down at the next AGM (September 2019). BHCC are therefore looking to recruit a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. We are looking to bring someone on board in the New Year to shadow the Treasurer to ensure a smooth transition. The right person will have a strong financial background.
The role is a hugely rewarding one supporting the work of this highly respected Charity. The role involves providing scrutiny and oversight of the Management Accounts that are produced by the internal Business Support Team at monthly board meetings. In addition you will be involved in the Budget setting process, Audit of Statutory Accounts and leading the Finance Sub-committee.

You will be joining a highly functioning Board and a sustainable and healthy Charity in exciting times. Trustees on this board have currently served between 1 - 12 years.
