Slough Sea Cadets
Slough Sea Cadets is looking for a person with some financial knowledge to manage the Unit’s funds; turnover is in the region of £10,000 – £12,000 per annum. The main role is to ensure that all income and expenditure is properly recorded and accurate accounts are maintained. The annual accounts must be prepared as soon as practical after the financial year ends on 31 March and presented at the AGM.
The Treasurer is also a Trustee and should attend regular Unit Management Team meetings which are held approximately every 6 weeks where a brief report on the finances is expected.
Slough Sea Cadets is an independent charity (number 300328) affiliated to the Marine Society & Sea Cadets which is a national organisation of some 400+ Sea Cadet units.
The aim of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) is to help young people towards responsible adulthood and to encourage them to reach their potential by developing valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
