Mindapples is a non-profit organisation, now registered as a charity (Registered Charity #1173515), dedicated to promoting public mental health and wellbeing. We have a ten year track record of engaging the public in conversations about mental health, and helping people understand and manage their day-to-day mental health and wellbeing. Using the question “what’s the 5-a-day for your mind?” as a starting point, and supported by a strong academic evidence base, we deliver training to schools, universities, youth groups and health trusts, in partnership with other charities and volunteer groups.
We are seeking an experienced financial specialist with an interest in mental health and wellbeing. As treasurer of Mindapples, you would be responsible for ensuring the financial administration of the charity is compliant with charity law and our governing document, and implementing a financial strategy to enable sustained growth. You would also help shape the vision and fundraising strategy for the charity.
This is a voluntary trustee role. Board meetings – 4 times per year plus 1 strategy day. Some additional hours per month on charity activities will be required at busy times.
Essential experience for the role is professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA or ACCA. Desired experience is a financially accountable position on a small charity board.
