Citizens Advice Guildford (CAG) is an independent charity and limited company operating in accordance with its membership of national Citizens Advice. CAG is a medium-sized local citizens advice with around 8 staff and 40 volunteers.During 2017/18 CAG assisted almost 3,300 clients and dealt with over 9,700 issues.
The Treasurer of CAG is a trustee and plays an important part in ensuring CAG fulfils its objectives, operates within its means and complies both with Citizens Advice membership requirements and the law. Day-to-day running of the charity is delegated to the Chief Officer. The role can be summarised as follows:
Setting direction and supporting the development of CAG; Controlling finances; guiding and advising the board in the approval of budgets, accounts and financial statements.
