Looking for a volunteer treasurer
The "Injury on Duty Pensioners Association" ('IODPA') is a UK registered charity
We support police officers who have been injured whilst on duty and who are facing their much loved careers coming to an end due to these injuries. These officers suffer from severe physical or mental health issues; in some cases, officers suffer from both.
We assist officers going through the ill-health retirement process and onto an injury award where applicable.
Many of us have family, friends or relatives who are serving or retired officers, and those who have experienced being injured will fully understand and appreciate the work that we do.
Having recently lost our treasurer, we are seeking a volunteer to administer our accounts in preparation for annual inspections and the filing with the Charity Commission.
You would be starting a new charity year, and the organisation of the accounts would very much down to you. We have no preference as to the software you may wish to use as long as it meets current best practice.
The role of treasurer can be performed remotely, with maximum use of technology such as WhatsApp, email and Zoom/Teams.
It is difficult to anticipate how much time would be required, but would suggest that an average of 2-3 hours a week would be more than enough.
If you'd like more information about this request, or our charity, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to your response.
