Job Description

  • Advise on the formulation of financial policy and mange the Association’s finances within the agreed policy and audit requirements 
  • Ensure that the Association obtains value for money, and that money is invested to best advantage
  • Liaise with membership secretary and events organiser

Specific functions

  • Bank money
  • Maintain digital and paper records
  • Prepare monthly reports to committee
  • Receive bank statements and reconcile with records
  • Prepare cheques against invoices/receipts
  • Prepare annual accounts of income, expenditure and balance sheet
  • Work with accountant to verify end of year accounts
  • Submit accounts to Charity Commission on line and by post
  • Maintain accurate details of committee members for Charity Commission
  • Present Treasurer’s report at AGM
  • Make annual payment for C&TA insurance to BAfM
  • Make annual payment for lottery licence from Norwich CC
  • Deal with any VAT and tax matters
  • Process gift aid
