Treasurer Board Member

Wiltshire Music Centre wishes to recruit a new Treasurer and is looking for someone with financial management experience and an interest in live music. We actively seek Trustees of all ages and encourage applications from individuals with no previous board experience and from different backgrounds.

About the Role

The Treasurer oversees all aspects of financial management, working closely with other members of the Management Committee to safeguard the organisation's finances. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
  • Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place.
  • Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.
  • Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.

About the Organisation

Wiltshire Music Centre is a registered charity and National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England, currently has a Board of 11 voluntary, non-executive Directors / Trustees, and is run by a professional team of 14.2 full time equivalent staff. 

Now attracting over 60,000 audience members and participants a year, it is one of the UK’s finest purpose-built concert halls. Showcasing a year-round programme of over 160 live performances of world-class classical, folk, jazz and world music; delivering an extensive Creative Learning programme across the region; the charity act as a vibrant music-making community hub.
