Job Description

We are looking to replace our outgoing Treaurer who is leaving after 4 years.   We are looking for a bookeeper with a commercial mindset who is able to guide our Charity financially, report our position at bi-monthly board meetings (virtually is fine) and forecast quarterly.    There is also a requirement to sign off the accounts with our auditors annually.   There are currently two volunteer assistants one who completes the day to day book keeping tasks and one who provides direct assistance with forecasting.  The role will also require the individual to be a Trustee. 

The role is voluntary but fulfils a vital role in the local community.   It is likely to need 4 hours time commitment per month, on average, with additional time each quarter for re-forecasting and annual budgeting.  It offers an opportunity to support the operational team of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to make a real difference to the lives of many residents who are in need of our assistance.     The Treasurer is a key member of the Board and as a Trustee, helps with governance and decides the direction our very important local Charity takes.
