Supporting people to live with sight loss in Lancashire and Sefton
Do you want to be part of something special, a dynamic organisation committed to changing lives?
If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you. Galloway’s is recruiting to a number of roles which will complement the existing skills within our board of trustees.
If you have experience of working at a strategic level and an understanding of the changing environment in which we are working then please get in touch.
We are specifically looking for a ‘Make it Happen’ finance person to replace our retiring Treasurer who will Chair our Finance Committee and work with our Head of Finance on our financial management, controls and investments.
We are also seeking to recruit new Trustees who are recognised leaders and have strong experience in the fields of:
- Finance – to support the treasurer in all things finance.
- Health and Social Care – to help drive our approach towards more Health and Wellbeing commissioned services
- Income Generation and Communications - to support our strategy to grow our income and profile
- Lived experience of sight loss – preferably someone who will provide a view from the perspective of younger people of working age.
While we welcome applications from all interested individuals; we are currently underrepresented by people from black and other minority ethnic backgrounds. We particularly encourage members of these groups to apply.
This is an unpaid (other than expenses) but enormously rewarding opportunity and we hope you will consider joining us.
Applying is simple, all you have to do is email us your CV along with a personal statement describing how you meet the person specification and why you want this role. If we feel that you will add the right skills knowledge and experience to our Board we will call you for a telephone chat/interview and then go from there. It’s so simple, so what are you waiting for? Come join a team of committed Trustees who are making a real difference to the lives of people affected by sight loss living in Lancashire and Sefton.
