    Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG)

The Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) is a volunteer-led social action charity in south London situated between Brixton and Camberwell. It is our mission to make Loughborough Junction a great place to live and work and we aim to improve the environment of Loughborough Junction and the lives of the people who live and work there.

We run four main projects:  the Loughborough Farm, a community food growing project; the Loughborough Farm Cafe which cooks healthy vegetarian lunches on a Thursday and Friday;  the Grove Adventure Playground, which runs Saturday and holiday playschemes which cater for up to 70 children and young people a day; and craft workshops which tackle community isolation.

Our income is around £100,000 a year which comes from a number of different funding sources.

We are looking for a trainee or trained accountant who can:

- compile our annual accounts for the independent examiner;

- keep track of our various streams of income;

- advise on book-keeping systems.

LJAG meets monthly and the treasurer is required to prepare a monthly report setting out the charity's financial position. The treasurer will become a trustee and the post is unpaid.

You can find out more about our organisation at www.loughboroughjunction.org.

Please send your CV and a covering letter to Anthea Masey, Chair LJAG at antheamasey@btinternet.com and if you would like to discuss the role please ring 07799 621 582.
