Job Description

As a Technical Committee Member, you’ll support the Board of Trustees by scrutinising the Engineering and Supply Directorate financial, performance and risk reports and you’ll work closely with the Engineering and Support team on their strategy to meet the short and long term outputs of the RNLI.

What do you need for this role?

Cross-industry experience is essential in one or more of the following sectors - marine, engineering, construction, asset management, environmental sustainability, procurement or logistics• Cross-industry experience is desirable in one or more of the following - equipment & building design, asset strategies, production, regulatory assurance, or through life support• Senior management role or equivalent experience desirable• To be of Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation• Experience of either chairing and/or participating in senior leadership level meetings•Experience of long-term strategic planning• Experience of performance management• Experience of risk management• Experience of safety management•Experience of legal and regulatory compliance•Ability to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion•To be able to demonstrate an existing, or be willing to demonstrate a future commitment to the RNLI•To be willing to devote the necessary time and effort to the work of the Committee•Attend two meetings and two workshops a year, having completed any pre-reading of papers

This is a homebased role. Out of pocket expenses will be re-imbursed.
