ICAEW is seeking a lay member to join the Learning & Professional Development Board.
You will be willing to voice your opinions to support this Board in fulfilling its role which is to oversee the development of strategy and policy in Learning & Professional Development, including student and training employer matters, membership and fellowship requirements, practising certificate and audit qualification requirements and continuing professional development.
As a lay member, you should not be an ICAEW Member or currently involved with ICAEW teaching or assessment. You should be knowledgeable on training, assessment and education not accountancy specific.
The Board meets five or six times a year for 2-3 hours at Chartered Accountants' Hall in London. There are occasional off-site meetings and video and teleconference facilities are made available where possible. There will be a requirement to read a substantial amount of paperwork and agenda items prior to the meeting.
The appointment is for an intitial term of 2 years from June 2020.
