Role

Honorary Treasurer

We are looking for a new Treasurer for the Board of Trustees at the Professionals Aid Guild (PAG). This a voluntary, unremunerated (reasonable expenses will be paid) role that would involve, amongst others; monitoring budgets and forecasts for Trustee Board, overseeing the financial affairs of the organisation, and ensuring they are legal,  and within accepted accounting practice, overseeing the production of necessary financial reports/returns, and accounts and audits.

The role would involve working closely with the office accountant and CEO. This role would be suitable for someone who has financial management or accountancy experience, and would be interested in joining a well-established charity at this exciting time, to use their financial background to assist professionals in relieving financial distress, and those in difficulty through poverty.

The office is based in London, but meetings are currently being held virtually. Meetings are usually held in the morning/afternoon and are around two hours. There are four board meetings, an AGM, two investment Committee meetings per annum with additional time required around this. The current outgoing Treasurer advises the time required is approx.10 days per year.
