We are delighted to currently be working alongside The Queen’s Nursing Institute to appoint their next Honorary Treasurer. The QNI is the oldest nursing charity in the world and a leading voice for nurses working in the community in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The QNI are now looking to strengthen their Board and are seeking an Honorary Treasurer – a qualified Accountant/Treasurer, with an understanding of Charity SOPR. You will lead the Board’s duty to ensure proper accounting records are kept, financial resources are controlled and invested in line with governance, legal and regulatory requirements. You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to ensure decisions are actioned in a timely manner.
Trustees have a duty to ensure that the charity is well run, solvent, legally compliant, and working towards the charitable purpose for which it was established, and Trustee roles are an important and a highly rewarding way to support an organisation. Please note that Trustee roles are unremunerated voluntary positions, although reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
The QNI are committed to equality of opportunity, supports and encourages under-represented groups and values diversity. We seek people from a wide range of backgrounds, who will bring a fresh perspective to the Board and having reviewed existing Trustees diversity, skills and experience, QNI are keen for the Board to reflect the diversity of the communities that they work with and therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.
