Use your experience of strategic financial management to help drive and support Mind in Barnet’s strategic direction delivering services to individuals and families in north London whose lives are affected by mental health problems.

About the role

Mind in Bamet is led by its Board of 10 Trustees, who are responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the charity.

As Mind in Barnet’s Treasurer/Trustee, you will have the opportunity to make a valuable and important contribution to our current work and future direction.

About you

Mind in Barnet is seeking to recruit an experienced accountant as the new Honorary Treasurer. 

You will play a key role in supporting Mind in Barnet’s Trustees.

Working alongside the Chair and Vice-Chair, you will oversee financial, internal control and risk management matters of the charity and will support reporting on these to the Board.

This is an exciting opportunity to have a role in leading an organisation delivering vital mental health support services at the heart of the community.

This is a voluntary role requiring a minimum commitment of approx half a day per month involving attending Board meetings (held bi-monhtly on Tuesday evenings), Finance sub-committee meetings and time spent responding to communications, reading and considering papers.
