Job Description

Salford City College Group Governing Body

Would you like to join our Governing Body to help shape and deliver

our ambitious strategy for the College Group to 2025?

Our overarching vision is to be a beacon of educational excellence transforming the lives of the individuals and communities we serve.

Our mission is socially inclusive, and aims to open up new opportunities and horizons for all learners in Salford and its surrounding areas. We have created a college community where each person is valued and can flourish.

The success of our students has led to the College being recognised both locally and nationally. We offer a wide range of educational courses across the spectrum from vocational and A Level programmes, HE courses and Apprenticeships.

Governors are public spirited volunteers who play an important role in setting and overseeing the strategic direction of the college. They bring a wide range of skills and competencies to assist the College in achieving its aims.

Currently we are seeking a number of suitably qualified governors with   experience ideally gained at Board or senior management level in the following areas:

Financial Management, Accountancy, Auditing, Higher Education, Further Education, and Law.

We are committed to increasing the diversity of our Governing Body and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates. A particular connection with Salford is valued.

If you would like to join an experienced and committed group of governors

we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.
