Relate’s vision is for a future in which good couple and family relationships form the heart of a thriving society. At Relate Derby and Southern Derbyshire we work with children and young people, families, people on the autism spectrum and children in care as well as our work with couples and individuals.

 

We’re living through unprecedented times; we know that people need support more than ever and we know that we can help. To help us do the best we can for our local communities, we are looking for a new, experienced and committed Trustee to play an essential role in the governance and development of our charity.  We are seeking aTrustee with skills and experience in:

Finance and financial governance; Are you a finance professional, knowledgeable and confident in finance systems and financial risk?

You need not have been a charity trustee before, but you will have experience of participating and decision-making at a senior level; independence of thought and judgement; a strong belief in Relate’s ethos and values and time to commit.

You will have ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction of the charity and for ensuring Relate Derby and Southern Derbyshire is effectively delivering high quality services that meet the needs of our local community. You will ensure Relate Derby and southern Derbyshire complies with charity law and is well-run.
