Job Description

We are currently looking for an Independent Member to join the Finance, Audit & Investment Committee at Nottingham Contemporary.

We encourage applications from people whose perspectives, skills and experiences remain under-represented in the arts sector. This includes people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds with lived experience of racism; people who are disabled, D/deaf, and neuro-divergent; people from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds; and those whose experiences cut across identities.

Time commitment: We would normally expect members to prepare for and take part in 4-5 Committee meetings per year. Committee members can also attend virtually, via Skype or Zoom. Meetings typically last two hours with preparation time of 1–2 hours required to read and consider written papers, management accounts, financial forecasts and investment performance reports. Meetings are scheduled up to a year in advance to assist with planning.

Payment: The role is an unpaid voluntary position. Expenses incurred taking part will be met.
