THE CLERK TO GOVERNORS
Dulwich College is a day and boarding school with 1,598 boys aged 7-18 years and has a co-educational kindergarten and infant school of 230. The College employs over 500 staff and enjoys a beautiful and historic site, covering 70 acres in South London.
The College is a registered charity. We have a governing body, who have responsibility as charity trustees to oversee the running of the College.
Our current Board includes Graham Ward CBE, an Old Alleynian and previously President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. After 11 years of distinguished service, Mr Ward will be retiring from the Board of Governors in 2019 and we are therefore looking to appoint another chartered accountant to join the board on his retirement.
As charity trustees, Governors are not paid. It is a voluntary role.
The time commitment involved is not fixed but we estimate that the role usually takes up about 10-12 days a year.
