The ICAEW Ethics Standards Committee is responsible for developing policy on professional ethics for ICAEW members both in accountancy practice and in business.
We are seeking a Committee Member to contribute to the shaping of ICAEW ethics policy, including review of formal responses to external bodies and consideration of ethical guidance for members.
The Committee Member will bring:
- A principles based approach to standards analysis.
- A willingness to challenge.
- Experience dealing with ethical matters in a plc.
You will be a member of ICAEW and working in business, ideally a plc or larger business.
As a member of the Committee you will have an opportunity to shape ICAEW ethics policy in the public interest along with opportunities to network with other members with a keen interest in ethics.
This voluntary role is also a demonstrable commitment to upholding ethical standards.
The appointment is for 2 years from June 2019. The Committee meets 4 times a year and each meeting lasts 3 hours. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
