he District Treasurer is a key member of the team supporting the District Commissioner and District Chairman in overseeing and developing scouting in the Districts area. The role includes responsibility for the day to day management of the District's finances, producing an annual budget and completing the year end accounts for external examination. In addition the District treasurer has a role in monitoring the financial compliance of the Scout Groups for which the District is responsible, and in giving advice to Group treasurers.
As an ex-officio member of the District Executive Committee the District treasurer is a trustee under the Charities Acts. In general the District Executive meets 6 times a year.
