JOB TITLE: Digital Engagement Officer
REPORTING TO: Editor-in-Chief, GPR
JOB PURPOSE: The goal of the Social Media Manager will be to create and implement a digital marketing strategy and handle our social media accounts.

ABOUT GLOBAL POLICY REVIEW
As a brainchild of International Women’s Initiative (IWI), and the successor to Global Legal Review, Global Policy Review has been established as a means to analyse laws and policies impacting women’s rights and pave the way for a more egalitarian society. We are a team of dedicated and passionate remotely-based volunteers, striving towards our common vision of equality and gender justice.
Our work predominantly focuses on raising awareness of women’s rights issues across the globe through policy and legal research, reports and lobbying efforts. We aim to not only educate the international community on the status of women’s rights abuse, but also to empower and support those women who wish to seek justice and accountability through governance and legal mechanisms.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the GPR Digital Team and closely with the IWI Digital Team , you will come up with a social media strategy to boost the visibility of Global Policy Review and establish the brand.

You will understand the objectives of the organization, our target audience, and you must develop informative and engaging social media while also being mindful of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.

You will manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: Developing relevant content topics to reach the company's target customers. Create, curate, and manage all published content.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital marketing or communication and a minimum of 2-3 years experience in web related marketing and development.

Experience in creating social media strategy for advocacy and/or research projects relating to women’s rights would be considered an advantage.

Be able to work efficiently with remotely based teams.

Passionate about women’s rights and gender equality.

Native/Bilingual in English.

Outstanding interpersonal skills- approachable, diplomatic and a good sense of humour.

Great attention to detail and ability to work within strict, often conflicting, deadlines.

A self-starter.

Fairly good knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Macromedia flash, MS- FrontPage etc or other similar
software.

Able to provide a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
