Stockport without abuse offers a range of services to help and support women, men and children who have experienced domestic abuse. They are looking for a new Chair to lead the board of trustees in stimulating excellent, well-rounded and carefully considered strategic decision-making.
The overall role of Chair of the Board of Trustees is to lead and develop the strategic direction of the Charity, and ensure the delivery of results by monitoring performance. The Chair is responsible with the Board for ensuring compliance with all legal responsibilities and maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance. Stockport without Abuse are looking for someone who is able to Chair meetings efficiently and effectively and lead on steering the board into a more strategic future. This is a really great opportunity to have the freedom to implement change and play a fundamental role in the transformation of a board.
The board meet 10 times a year, and exec meetings take place every 6 weeks. The board are currently meeting remotely.
