CABA Support Volunteer
|Job Title:||CABA Support Volunteer|
|Job Published:||April 12, 2018 11:48|
CABA Support Volunteers work alongside CABA Support Officers bringing members' unique additional skills and expertise to support CABA clients. Each client has individual requirements which CABA aims to support in a holistic manner and members can provide an invaluable addition to this.
A CABA Support Volunteer is required to support the widow of a member in a befriending capacity. Although CABA volunteers are usually members of the ICAEW, we would welcome applications from wives or partners of members, as a female befriender would be preferred in this instance.
The late member’s wife, although not a chartered accountant, was a professional herself for all of her working life in London. She has only this year had to give up driving and now in her nineties with no children, no family member close by and having survived many friends and peers, she is feeling increasingly isolated. The benefit of a social visit at least monthly would be significant and certainly greatly appreciated by our client.
This is a general support role; confidentiality and a non-judgemental attitude are paramount.
