Job Description

Glasgow Clyde College has an exciting opportunity for two people to join its Board of Management.

The Board of Management provides leadership and strategic direction for the College and is responsible for its governance.

The Board is looking for people with energy, integrity and ideas, who have experience of financial management at a senior level, to join its Board and its Finance and Resources Committee.

Glasgow Clyde College has an excellent reputation for teaching quality and our vision is to contribute to the prosperity and well-being of Scotland through exceptional achievement.  We employ more than 1,000 staff and have a student population of over 18,000 enrolments of which around 6,500 are full time students. The College is formed of three campuses to the South and West of Glasgow City Centre.

The Board meets 5 times per year and, in addition, Board members will be expected to attend Committee meeting 4 times per year. Meetings are normally held in the early evening (usually Wednesdays).

Board members serve on a voluntary basis and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for Board business will be reimbursed.

Further information and details on how to apply are available on the College’s website at www.glasgowclyde.ac.uk

Given our commitment to diversity, we encourage applications from all genders, the ethnic minority community and people with disabilities.
