Halifax YMCA is a respected local charity (although part of a world wide movement) specialising in working with young people in the locality.
There are currently 2 fulltime staff and 8 part time staff and a Board with 6 members that meets around 6 times a year. Someone with experience of commerce in the broadest sense would be a useful addition to the Board particularly if they were able to provide ongoing advice on payroll and cash flow matters and be available at the end of a phone to deal with the occasional query. Each Board member has a differing level of time commitment depending on their own availabilty. No specific religious affiliation is required merely to be comfortable with a Christian ethos.
