SAFE HOMES, BETTER FUTURES
CAYSH exists to provide safe homes and better futures for vulnerable young people.
A registered charity operating since 1981, we provide advice and support services to young people aged 16-21 including accommodation, for young people facing homelessness.
Are you passionate in helping young people to achieve their hopes and dreams and want to give something back to your community?
Young people are the future and CAYSH is proud to work alongside many of them across the South London boroughs. To help us deliver our important work, we seek people who can inspire, influence and drive our ambitious plans so that we are able to successfully help young people to independence.
The Board of Trustees
Our Trustees make an active and positive contribution to the business. The Board has ultimate responsibility for all the activities of the Charity and for ensuring that we deliver good outcomes for our beneficiaries.
What is needed?
Successful Boards are made up of people with a common goal, who bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience to the organisation. This, together with people who want to make a difference to the lives of young people in the local community, are exactly who we need. If you have strong business acumen, finance or people management skills and are able to commit to attending evening meetings and events, we want to hear from you.
We also want to hear from people with housing, fundraising, charity/company law or Governance experience to complement and broaden our existing Trustee group.
What is the commitment?
To support the decision making at CAYSH, you will be expected to attend an average 12 meetings a year including Board and sub-committee meetings and some events.
Meetings generally take place at our offices in Croydon and are held after business hours.
